Having a child is a wonderful thing, and nobody knows how much responsibility it takes more than the parents themselves. You have to worry about money, food, education and many other things. With that in mind, education is probably the most important, and with education comes reading.
Reading to your kids is a great thing to do. It keeps them attentive, builds their focus and it also bonds you together as parent and child. Well, with that said - Christian childrens books are one of the best sources of literature you can have.
Now, I'm not talking about the bible, or even blatantly religious texts. There are many Christian childrens books out there that only carry metaphors that adults can understand but work in the parameters of children's understanding by using funny characters and other such things to convey a meaningful, moral point. Christian childrens books will teach your child good manners, good morals and responsibility - which in turn they will need when they have kids of their own.
So, check out Amazon or, better yet, your local library, today for some good titles!
