 This article that I have chosen I agree with whole heartedly. The article is simply titled, "God made me this way is not an excuse to sin." However, I think that it should be expounded upon with more depth. It seems that the growing trend in the church is to state that everybody sins; and they have to sin, so they don't have a choice. I simply don't agree with this concept. I think that it is a cop out, and leads people to a very pragmatic and distorted form of faith. I reference The First Epistle of John 2:1-2 states:

"My dear children! these things am I writing unto you in order that ye may not be committing sin. And if anyone should commit sin, an Advocate have we with the Father, Jesus Christ the Righteous; and he is a propitiation! concerning our sins, --and not concerning our own only but also concerning those of the whole world."

Most Bibles will state something like, "Don't sin, but if you do; you have an advocate with the Father, who is Jesus Christ." I like my Rotherham's Emphasized Bible better because it expounds on it a lot more, and allows for a deeper study on the issue.

I have always maintained that sin is actually a curse because of Adam and Eve's sin in the Garden of Eden; which I believe was actually sexual. I believe that Eve had sex with Satan and that Cain was the result. This is a radical view point, but I have read that it was actually taught in the church at one time. Later on I'll expound on it, but this would probably take two or three sections to really explain it.

To say, "Nobody's perfect," is in a way to say that, "Nobody has a choice." This simply isn't true. God has given us a choice to do what is right or what is wrong. He doesn't forgive us because we are sinful, and therefore unable to control our urges, or our sinful capacities. If this was true, than Christ death on the cross would have no meaning. This is also true of homosexuality (sodomy). I have never been to a gay church, but I have been told by some that have attended; that all the gay pastor talks about is how God made him gay, and made members of the congregation gay. I think it is better to see what the Bible has to say on the matter, BUT FIRST;

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Sodomy (homosexuality) ranks as one of the most ancient of illicit activities being found mentioned in the annals of the oldest civilizations ("Sodomites on Trial," by Charles A. Weisman, Weisman Publications, P.O. Box 240844 Apple Valley, MN 55124, page 2) The historical origin of the word "sodomy" is noted;

"The term "sodomy" was derived from the ancient city of Sodom which, according to the Bible, was destroyed by fire because of its sexual excesses and perverted practices (Wharton's Criminal Law, 14th Edition, Vol. 3, 1980, section 294, page 75)." I will add something here. The Greek word, "Porneo," (where we get pornography from), is actually a catch all word. Many times the Greek in the New Testament elaborates more, and expounds more of what the Old Testament is saying. This is why it is necessary to study both Old and New Testaments combined, and not separate.

The Greek word Porneo literally means, "idolatry," "bestiality," "homosexuality," lesbianism," "adultery," and "fornication." This is one reason why the King James Authorized Version (more accurate than the modern versions that we have today) uses the word "effeminate." This word brings all of this together. However, most of the modern day Bibles don't say this, and this is why the NIV Bible scholars had an out spoken lesbian on their committee by the name of Virginia Mollencott. She stylized both the Old and New Testament, and the NIV Bible actually supports homosexuality in a subtle way.

The Court of Appeals of Kentucky stated, "The word "sodomy" is derived from the city of Sodom, where the crime against nature had its origin, and was universally prevalent until that city was destroyed by the wrath of God (Commonwealth v. Poindexter, 118 S.W. 943, 944, 133 Ky. 720  (1909)." Sodomy became recognized as an offense by the common law as a result of an early English statute under King Henry VIII (1533). It adopted the term "buggery" in stead of "sodomy," in order to provide for a clean separation from the Church, and to have the powers identified with the Crown.

Later the statute was revived under Elizabeth I (1562), but which confirmed the biblical grounds for the legitimacy of the law. The new statute recited that it was made necessary to combat the prevalence of the "horrible and detestable vice of buggery, aforesaid, to the high displeasure of Almighty God." It should be noted here that King James I was not a sodomite or homosexual. If he was; he wouldn't have spoken out against it ("King James the Vi of Scotland, First of England unjustly accused," I cannot remember the author's name, but it is a good book that you could probably get in the library, or through the library).

As I have said before, the term "sodomy," means many things; but in a wider sense it means, "the corruption of morals, the disgrace of human nature by an unnatural sexual gratification, of which reason and decency forbids a more detained description (Murray v. State, 143 N.E. 2d 290, 292 (Ind.-1957)."

"Over the years the offense of sodomy has been characterized as "the crime against nature," "the infamous crime against nature," "the bestial crime against nature," or "the abominable and detestable crime against nature with mankind or beast." Whatever the label, the essence of the crime is clear: an act of deviate sexual intercourse with or without consent (Wharton's Criminal Law, 14th Edition, Vol 3, 1980, Section 294, page 76)."

Other authorities and courts have defined sodomy by terms such as" lewd and lascivious acts (State v. Bateman, 547 P.2d 6, 9, 113 Ariz 107 (1976)," and was often spoken of and understood as being "the abominable crime not fit to be named among Christians (Herring v. State, 46 S.E. 876, 882, 119 Ga. 709 (1904); State v. Whitemarsh, 128 N.W. 580, 583, 26 S.D. 426 (1910)." Therefore, it is impossible for a homosexual to be a Christian. He must repent and do a way with his homosexual lifestyle.

The English jurist Sir William Blackstone refers to sodomy or the crime against nature as being against the express law of God. He said it is an offense of  "deeper malignity" than rape, a "heinous act," and a crime not fit to be named." The Bible is where to begin this search on what is really truly being said, and how God see's it. In Genesis chapter 18 and 19 is recorded the first trial of sodomites. This where God sent two angels to Sodom and Gomorrah (angels are ministering spirits and witnesses - it should be mentioned that God always sends witnesses, whether they are angelic or human; in order to abide by his laws and covenants, and in order to gather evidence). Genesis 19 tells this story. In Genesis 19:5, the inhabitants attempted to sodomize the witnesses God sent, saying to Lot -- "Where are the men which came to you this night? bring them out to us, that we may know them (evidently the angels came in the flesh - this is very possible)." The punishment for the criminal act of sodomy was death (Genesis 19:24-25).

BIBLICAL BACKGROUND

"Thou shall not lie with a man (Hebrew "ish," or Adamite - white man blood in the face red) as with a woman ("isha" female counterpart to "ish," Adamite - white woman blood in the face red); it is an abomination. Neither shall you lie with any beast (This also refers to a member of the negro race) and defile yourself therewith: neither shall any woman ("ish," female Adamite #120, #119 - white woman blood in the face red) stand before a beast (member of the negro race) to lie down thereto: it is an abomination (Leviticus 18:22-23)."

Leviticus 18:24-25; "Defile not yourselves in any of these thing; for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled; therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomits out her inhabitants." Therefore God was warning Israel not to follow the iniquity and perverted ways of such nations otherwise the "land shall spit you out, as it spit out the Canaanite (Canaanites were hybrid people, that were steeped into many abominable and occultist practices, homosexuality being one of them. It is interesting that even today the hybrid and non-white races are more liable to practice these abominations. The Jews are into pornography and homosexuality. They promote it). nations that were before you."

Jamieson, Fausset & Brown , "A Commentary on the Whole Bible, vol. I., page 86," states; "Ancient history gives many appalling proofs tht the enormous vices described in this chapter (Leviticus 18) were very prevalent, nay, were regularly practiced from religious motives in the temples of Egypt and the groves of Canaan; and it was these gigantic social disorders that occasioned the decree for the expulsion of the inhabitants of Canaan."

God provides the punishment for those that practice that "lifestyle." Speaking of sodomy, bestiality, and other defiling acts He stted that, "whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, shall be cut off from among the people (Leviticus 18:29)."  It should be noted:

Less than 1% are homosexual!

A new Statistics Canada health survey is the first to effort to measure the sexual orientation of the population. According to figures from the Canadian Community Health Survey, released Tuesday June 15, 2004, one per cent of Canadians say they are homosexual. The Canadian Community Health Survey, is based on information collected from 135,000 people and is considered to be extremely accurate. Homosexual activists continue to use the 10% figure, even though they know is as invalid as it is fraudulent.

While worldly fathers are so afraid to hug, kiss and cuddle their sons for fear they turn him into a sissy. The opposite is in fact true! Fathers in the world worry about their sons becoming homosexual and emotionally withdraw and become tough and macho with their sons. This will actually make your children more likely to turn into homosexuals!

Amazingly, Hollywood movies and sit-coms have begun to cast their frequent homosexual characters as having normal loving relationships with their fathers. Just another example of how producers of Hollywood are attempting to change society's views contrary to the facts of homosexuality.

What is really interesting is that the Bible condemns the act of sodomy (homosexuality) to such an extent that the punishment for the act is death;

"If a man also lie with a man as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them (Leviticus 20:13). This punishment is also for interracial marriage. The destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah testify of this for they went after "strange," flesh (As in Genesis 6:11-13).

The New Testament changed nothing in regards to God's law and condemnation towards sodomy. It places the "effeminate" or homosexual with idolaters and fornicator's and declares that they "shall not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthian's 6:9, as I stated above, "porneo,"). Also, "the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly...for them that defile themselves with mankind (1 Timothy 1:9-10)."

Sodomites were also recognized as "dogs" in New Testament times. "The price of a dog" (Deuteronomy 23:18) was a figurative expression used to denote the gains of a "kaw-dashe" (Sodomite), who was called kin-ahee-dos, by the Greeks, from the dog-like manner in which he debased himself (see Revelations 22:15, where the unclean are distinctly called "dogs"). (The Popular and Critical Bible Encyclopedia, ed., Samuel Fallows, Chicago, 1908, volume 3, page 1602).

In conclusion, it is best to admit that homosexuality is a sin of immense proportion, and should be avoided at all costs. It doesn't do any good to side with the homosexual, or love the homosexual to the extent that you support them in the hopes of leading them out of that lifestyle. The truth is, they must leave that lifestyle on their own. All you can do is to tell them the truth, not in a tolerant way; but in a Biblical way. (Remember Ezekiel 3:14-27). Pray for them; that they can come out of this lifestyle.
